About Us

What is a Cumberland Presbyterian? We are a "Presbyterian" body under the "Cumberland" branch.

Cumberland Presbyterians were among the first to admit women to their educational institutions and accept them in leadership roles including the ordained clergy.

The 1984 revision of the Confession of Faith was one of the first inclusive confessional documents in the Reformed tradition.

We are a faith community that seeks to nurture and equip one another to become followers of Jesus. We believe all humanity is created in the image of God and is worthy of love. We enjoy gathering together, serving the community, and loving our neighbors. We share different views and perspectives on an array of topics; striving to create a space for growth and ministry.

You can get involved by worshipping with us *in person or by live stream on Sundays at 11:00 am.

We offer classes for various ages and on many topics. Small groups consist of our Kid Connection, Young Adult Ministry, The BBQ Bunch (45 - 65), and Senior Adult Ministry.

Love! Scripture tells us Faith, Hope, & Love remain; the greatest is LOVE. Scripture also reminds us "Nothing can separate us from the love of God." (Rom. 8:38)

God is Love & God loves all of creation. We are inspired to share this love with the world around us. We aren't perfect.  We are a community made up of all kinds of backstories and experiences.

God is revealed in Jesus Christ & is at work everywhere in the universe. We believe humanity does not always live in the love God has for us; and we cause harm to self & neighbor. We need wholeness, offered to us by Jesus Christ. Scripture serves as the story of faith throughout the ages & as our guide for Christian living. We practice two sacraments, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper/Communion.
